When the Enable direct purchase from course page setting is turned on, learners are able to enter their desired price and purchase a course directly from the LearnDash course page without being redirected to the WooCommerce product page. This creates a seamless experience because the price input field and purchase button appear right where the course details are displayed, allowing learners to take action immediately. Once a learner enters the amount they want to pay and clicks the button, the plugin validates the entered value to ensure it meets any minimum and maximum price rules you have set. If the value is valid, the associated WooCommerce product is added to the shopping cart at the learner’s chosen price.

From there, the normal WooCommerce checkout process takes over, guiding the learner through payment and order completion. After successful payment, the LearnDash–WooCommerce integration automatically enrolls the learner into the course. This means the entire process, from selecting a custom price to gaining access to course content, happens without unnecessary steps or extra redirections.

In addition to improving the overall user experience, this feature also increases the likelihood of conversion since learners don’t have to navigate away from the course page to complete their purchase.
